Cheesecake is an irresistible dessert loved by adults and children. Preparing it at home is simpler than you might think, and the result will be a creamy and delicious cake. In this recipe we will show you two preparation variations: the baked one and the cold one .
Here are the ingredients you need for the cheesecake base:
– 200 g of dry biscuits (digestives, etc.)
– 100 g of melted butter.
For the cream cheese, the ingredients are:
– 500 g of cream cheese (Philadelphia type)
– 200 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Preparation variants:
1. Baked Cheesecake Cake:
– Preparation of the base: Blend the dry biscuits until you obtain a fine powder. Add the melted butter and mix well. Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper and pour the biscuit mixture onto the base, pressing well with the back of a spoon. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
– Make the cream cheese: In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the vanilla extract and mix all the ingredients.
– Pour the cream cheese onto the biscuit base in the prepared baking dish. Level the surface well with a spatula.
– Bake the cheesecake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 60 minutes. The cake will be ready when it has a light browning on the surface.
– Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely to room temperature. Then, transfer it to the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight before serving.
2. Cold cheesecake cake:
– Preparation of the base: Blend the dry biscuits until you obtain a fine powder. Add the melted butter and mix well. Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper and pour the biscuit mixture onto the base, pressing well with the back of a spoon. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
– Make the cream cheese: In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth. You can use not only one spreadable cheese, but you can choose to use multiple cheeses together such as mascarpone, ricotta, cream. Finally, add the vanilla extract and mix all the ingredients.
– Pour the cream cheese onto the biscuit base in the prepared baking dish. Level the surface well with a spatula.
– Leave the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight, until it is completely set.
– Before serving, decorate the cheesecake with fresh fruit, fruit sauce or melted chocolate to taste. Enjoy your meal!
